Aguas Agria is a rural community located to the south of Mombacho Volcano. On your visit you'll experience a farming community planting or harvesting their crops on the rich volcanic soils. Feel free to interact with locals and learn about their customs and traditions.

As you hike down the trail you'll find The Manares River area; a river with crystal clear waters that flow from underneath the earth. The water have a sour and bitter taste (which is why this area is called Aguas Agrias) Here you can take a nice warm swim in this spectacular natural spring.

The green Mombacho Volcano can be seen through the canopy of the vegetation. There is also wildlife present in this area, including monkeys, parakeets, parrots, falcons and other native wild life.
